The highlight of this attractive vintage watch is all original dial featuring a brown “fume” or smoked dial in virtually mint condition and the iconic “cassaforte” case. While the dial and hands are virtually mint, testify to the very high quality of the case construction, the case itself shows clear signs of use, Dial, caseback, movement and buckle. signed. SPECIFICATIONS ; CONDITION REPORT; please refer to the high resolution pictures to assess the condition of the watch.
DIAL+HANDS: • Original brown “fumé” dial with applied indexes and tritium lume dots. The dial is in virtually mint condition with hardly any signs of aging. • The lume dots at the indexes are all present and intact • Original hands in very good condition. The tritium lume on the hands has aged to a pleasant beige hue. • When activated with UV light, the tritium on the indexes and hands glows briefly and then fade off.
CRYSTAL: Plexy crystal in good condition with minor surface marks
CASE: 37 mm stainless steel case with clear signs of use, consistent with the age of the watch.
CASEBACK: stainless steel caseback with central Zenith star. The caseback has been lightly polished in the past. The inner caseback carries the reference number and “Pat pending” writing.
CROWN: Zenith signed crown
MOVEMENT: inhouse Zenith 2562PC high frequency movement, 23 jewels, operating at 28800 bph. The movement runs strong and keeps good time.
STRAP: generic black leather strap in new condition with Zenith steel buckle.
ACCESSORIES : Saffiano Leather watch roll.
