General Terms and Conditions
1. Scope of Application
1.1. ChronoScope Collector Watches, (“CHRONOSCOPE”) is located at the following address: Friedentalstrasse 43, 6004 Luzern, Switzerland and it offers its customers modern and vintage timepieces and other collector iems for sale, via the URL https://chrono-scope.ch or directly at our offices.
1.2. The business relationship between CHRONOSCOPE and its customers are governed by the following General Terms and Conditions. Please note that any of your activities on CHRONOSCOPE website indicates that you accept the General Terms and Conditions hereunder, which may be revised at any time. Please take your time to read these terms carefully.
1.3. We are committed to transparency throughout the entire process of buying, selling, and trading fine timepieces. The large, clear unaltered pictures are an important part of the product description. Any defect not mentioned, although visible in the product pictures, is considered as described. Please take your time to check the description and the pictures carefully and feel free to ask questions.
2. Offer, Acceptance, Contract
2.1. CHRONOSCOPE reserves the right to make any change to pricing, descriptions, and availability of its inventory without prior notice. Offers are subject to prior sales, corrections, errors, or removals. Statements made on this website reflect the opinion of CHRONOSCOPE.
2.2. The customer’s order constitutes an offer to purchase from CHRONOSCOPE. If the purchase order is accepted, CHRONOSCOPE issues an order confirmation. In case the purchase order is rejected by CHRONOSCOPE, for example if the ordered product is no longer available, the customer will be promptly informed.
2.3. CHRONOSCOPE will communicate its acceptance to the customer order via e-mail. In this e-mail the details of the order, shipping cost and payment information are included (“Order Confirmation”). The Order Confirmation is an acceptance of the purchase offer and constitutes CHRONOSCOPE subscription to the contract of sale.
3. Price, Payment Terms, Payment Date
3.1. VAT, if applicable, will not be indicated separately on the invoice.
3.2. The payment will be charged following the Order Confirmation.
3.3. Shipment of the ordered products will take place only after payment in full has been received.
3.4. In the event the customer’s order is not followed by the complete payment within 72 hours, CHRONOSCOPE reserves the right to cancel the order and place the product for sale again.
4. Delivery, Shipping Costs, Transfer of Risk
4.1. The shipping costs are paid by the customer.
4.2. If the customer prefers, the purchased products can also be collected at our company office at a previously arranged appointment.
4.3. Upon full payment receipt, CHRONOSCOPE shall arrange the shipment of the purchased product(s) to the address provided by the customer in the customer’s order. Special shipping arrangements can be made upon customer’s request, if such arrangements will cause an increase of the shipment price, CHRONOSCOPE will promptly communicate it to the customer who shall arrange the additional payment for shipping of the product. In the unlikely event of delivery delays caused by circumstances for which we are not responsible and were not known at the time of receipt of your order, delivery will be delayed accordingly. We will give you notice of any such delays as quickly as possible.
4.4. The shipment is always insured, and prepared and packaged properly, and with care, and will be sent with a tracking number.
4.5. Import duties, taxes and charges (typically collected upon delivery or pickup) for customers abroad are customer’s responsibility and are not included in the item price or shipping charges. Please check with your country’s customs office prior to buying to determine what these additional costs will be.
5. Damage during Transport
Any damage incurred during transport should be reported immediately to CHRONOSCOPE by email. In case of complaints the customer is required to accurately describe the damage or defect within 5 calendar days after receipt of the products in writing by email.
6. Returns
6.1 All sales are final and conclusive. Returns are accepted within 5 calendar days from the receipt of the product if the watch is not as described and pictured, in which case CHRONOSCOPE will reimburse the full purchase price. A refund authorization by email is mandatory before shipping the watch back to CHRONOSCOPE.
6.2 If CHRONOSCOPE authorises a return, the item must be returned in the exact same condition as it was sold. Refunds will only be made upon a full inspection and will amount to the purchase price minus any cost related to the return. The customer assumes all risks in returning the item. The customer is responsible for the return shipping, insurance, and any other cost related to the safe delivery of the watch back to CHRONOSCOPE.
6.3. If the merchandise is returned and has been damaged or has suffered deterioration which was the result of manipulation of the merchandise that went
beyond checking its features and functions, CHRONOSCOPE will deduct the cost of the repairs from the refund. “Checking features and functions” consists in testing and trying out the product functionality as it is generally done in the shop, but – in anyway – not in opening the watch case-back.
7. Warranty, Liability, Damages
7.1. All watches are guaranteed to be authentic.
7.2. We guarantee the functionality of our watches. Please refer to the guarantee period stated in each product description.
7.3. Excluded from the warranty for defects are the accuracy, waterproof / water resistance, wear of the wristband and general wear and tear, scratches on the wristband or case, and damage to the glass / crystal.
7.4. CHRONOSCOPE is not liable for defects to the products caused by improper handling by the buyer or any third parties, as well as for general wear and tear.
7.5. The warranty for defects is null and void if the customer or a third-party attempt to repair the products themselves, unless prior specific written agreements have been made with CHRONOSCOPE
7.6. The compensation for the violation of contractual obligations by CHRONOSCOPE is limited to the amount paid by the buyer.
8. Procurement Risk
CHRONOSCOPE does not assume any procurement risk and retains the right to cancel the contract of sale if, through no fault of their own, CHRONOSCOPE is unable to procure the agreed products from its suppliers.
9. Data Protection
CHRONOSCOPE values your data and comply with the relevant data protection regulations. CHRONOSCOPE only processes personal data for relevant purposes, example for the contract of sale process. The collected data is in no way processed outside CHRONOSCOPE server, sold, or transmitted to third parties, unless specifically required for the contract of sale. CHRONOSCOPE collects, processes, and uses personal data of the user without further permission to complete the contract of sale and invoicing/payment processes. CHRONOSCOPE may add the customer`s email address to the company`s distribution mailing list.
10. Governing Law, Jurisdiction
Transactions on CHRONOSCOPE website are governed by Swiss Laws, and the Courts of Lucerne holds jurisdiction for all direct or indirect disputes arising from contractual relationships.

The images and descriptions appearing on this website are the property of CHRONOSCOPE. You are not permitted to copy and use these without the prior written consent of CHRONOSCOPE.
