The Zenith S.58 diver’s watch has long been popular among collectors, and this reference never ceases to impress as it truly embodies the golden era of dive watches of the late 1950s and 1960s. The present example is perhaps one of the most comfortable sports watches to bear the brand’s name. With an aesthetically pleasing dive bezel, it was built to be a perfect sporty, yet restrained choice for the dive watch enthusiast, making it the perfect everyday companion.

MODEL / REFERENCE: Zenith S.58 diver watch. This is an MK IVa version, due to the presence of calibre 2532PC which was later replaced by Cal. 2542PC in the MK IVb version.
DIAL+ HANDS: The original matte black dial is clean, keeps a simple layout, with the applied Zenith star and the framed date window at 3 o’clock. The printing is sharp and complete. The raised Silver geometric indexes, which are dissected with lumed inlays, have lost their Radium filling, just like the Arabic numerals at the quarters. The original handset on the other hand, displays fine and intact Radium inlays.
CRYSTAL: The Plexiglas crystal is in very good condition with some sparse scratches that can be polished off.
CASE: The stainless steel, two-body case wears like a charm thanks to its 38mm diameter (crown excluded) and thickness of 11,5mm. It appears to be unpolished as it retains its original profile with thick and even lugs. The case shows signs of normal wear commensurate with age and use of a tool watch. The bi-directional bezel is adorned with well-placed ridges for easier handling. The black Bakelite insert has a few bruises and a small crack at 12 which is very normal for its age.
CASEBACK: The stainless steel, screw down case back displays heavy scratches, mainly around the edges and center of the dodecagonal portion. The S.58 signature is still very well-defined, suggesting previous minimal polishing if not at all. The inner side is clean and finished with a perlage decoration. It is marked with the correct stamps for this model and period.
MOVEMENT: The in-house calibre 2532PC is a highly reliable automatic movement with a date function. It has been recently inspected for good performance, it winds smoothly, runs strong and keeps good time.
CROWN: The unsigned crown operates perfectly.
BRACELET: Custom made, 19mm leather strap from Torres with a signed stainless steel pin buckle.
ACCESSORIES: Saffiano Leather watch roll.
WARRANTY: We guarantee the authenticity of the watch. We also provide a 12-month guarantee for the correct function of this timepiece. All guarantees are subject to the General Terms and conditions.

We check all watches when listing the watch for sales, and again before shipping. In rare cases, shipping can cause the movement problems. Therfore, please check all functions of the watch upon receipt. Should you find any issues, please notifiy us by email without dealy.
