We are proud to offer this excellent, time-only example with a minimalist dial and rare case as a testament of Universal Genève’s design prowess at its best. This watch is part of a set of three 18k Universal Geneve dress watches. It can be purchased as set or individually.

MODEL / REFERENCE: Universal Genève 18k dress watch reference 146007. The serial number is 700850
DIAL+HANDS: The original golden dial appears to be unrestored and comes as clean as it gets with a minimal but crisp text and no hour markers. The vertical grain surface has a nice mirror-like finish when exposed to light, giving the dial a cool visual effect. The lovely leaf handset in black contrasts beautifully with the golden color of the dial and the case.
CRYSTAL: The mineral crystal is well preserved and super clean.
CASE: The exceptionally well-preserved 18K yellow gold Tank case screams art deco with its rectangular shape, sleek rounded corners and the eye-catching white gold knurled extensions on the top and bottom. Measuring 24mm across and 30mm from tip to tip, it still looks elegant on the wrist thanks to its hidden lugs. The case is believed to be unpolished as the vertical grain finish and the well-defined knurling remain in fine original condition. Only some gentle wear is visible, especially near the crystal, at the bottom right corner.
CASE BACK: The case back is in solid yellow gold with small lip for snap-on opening. It has been preserved in excellent condition, with the vertical brushed finish and the crisp hallmark present, along with the deep stamps for the reference and serial numbers. The surface however displays some hairline marks on the polished flange, commensurate with minimal wear. The Poinçon de Maître displays the number 29 indicative of the case maker: Weber & Cie S.A.
CROWN: The original crown bears the brand’s signature and operates perfectly.
MOVEMENT: The in- house caliber 1-42 is a reliable, manually-wound movement, featuring 17 jewels and an Incabloc shock protection. The numbered caliber is in excellent mechanical condition, winds smoothly and keeps accurate time, despite the unknown service history.
BRACELET: The genuine, black leather strap with crocodile motif is signed Universal Genève. It is barely worn and comes with an original, golden pin-buckle.

Given that vintage watches are antique collector items, we do not provide any guarantee on movement accuracy, water-proofing or any other mechanical guarantee unless it is mentioned in the product description.
We check all watches when listing the watch for sales, and again before shipping. In rare cases, shipping can cause the movement problems. Therfore, please check all functions of the watch upon receipt. Should you find any issues, please notifiy us by email without dealy.
