We are glad to present this elegant Jaeger-LeCoultre tank that exudes a pleasing coolness and elegance that are just fascinating to behold.
The JLC tank may recall for the flagship Cartier Tank at first glance, but this is the brand’s way of telling us they also built tank watches that stand on their own, with a sleek and elegant design, this timepiece is a very charming alternative to the French icon. Please read the condition report carefully and refer to the high resolution pictures to help you assess the overall condition of the watch.
MODEL / REFERENCE: Jaeger LeCoultre Tank. The 1’428’XXX serial number dates it to around the 1980s.
DIAL+ HANDS: The brushed, champagne dial is in good original condition showing a crisp imprint and the brand’s applied logo at 12 o’clock. It has developed a subtle, spotting patina throughout and some aging on the edges. The dial is ornate with applied black onyx hour markers at the quarters. Along with the beautifully aged black handset, the ensemble contrasts beautifully with the golden color of the dial and the case.
CRYSTAL: The flat, mineral crystal is clean and correct.
CASE: The striking, solid yellow gold case is 21mm wide and 29mm long. The classic stepped tank case appears to be strong with well pronounced lines that give the watch much character and a timeless presence. Condition wise, the surface shows minimal scratches especially on the bezel, commensurate with light use.
CASEBACK: The solid 18k yellow gold case back is very well preserved, with unaltered finish and virtually no marks. We can observe a very well pronounced gold hallmark, as well as engraved reference and serial numbers.
MOVEMENT: The hand-wound caliber 846 by Jaeger-LeCoultre belongs to the top class in terms of quality. This decorated movement is beautifully finished with Geneva stripes and features 18 Jewels, runs at 21600 bph, and has been adjusted to four positions. The movement is clean and fully functional thus it winds smoothly, runs with high amplitude and keeps accurate time.
CROWN: The correct gold crown is embossed with the brand’s logo at the center and operates as it perfectly, from winding to time setting .
BRACELET: Genuine 16mm black leather strap with crocodile motif, signed Jaeger LeCoultre. The gold plated pin buckle is signed as well.
ACCESSORIES: Saffiano Leather Watch Roll.

We check all watches when listing the watch for sales, and again before shipping. In rare cases, shipping can cause the movement problems. Therfore, please check all functions of the watch upon receipt. Should you find any issues, please notifiy us by email without dealy.
