For sale Vintage IWC ref. 809A dress watch in 18k gold from 1971 in very good vintage condition. The highlight of this timeless beauty is the mint dial with sunray finish and applied gold indexes as well as the high quality IWC Cal. 8541B. The watch is fully functional and comes with a 12-month warranty.
MODEL / REFERENCE: Vintage IWC ref. 809A dress watch, 18k yellow gold. Case serial number 1’758’378, movement serial number 1’961’230.
SPECIFICATIONS ; CONDITION REPORT; please refer to the high resolution pictures to assess the condition of the watch.
DIAL+HANDS: • Silver dial with applied indexes in absolutely mint condition. • All printing is crisp • The date wheel is clean • the minute markers on the periphery of the dial are precisely drilled and all accounted for. This technique is called ‘Perlé’. • Hands: original hand set in good condition
CRYSTAL: Plexy crystal in good condition with minor surface marks
CASE: 34 mm 18k yellow gold case case with light signs of use. Drilled lugs. Lug – to Lug, the case measures approx. 41 mm
CASEBACK: 18k gold caseback in very good condition. The inner caseback carries the relevant stamps, reference and and the case serial number. The outer caseback carries a custom engraving: “Mr. Otto Rüegg, 25 years of faithful service. April 30, 1971. Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft”.
CROWN: Fish (IWC) signed gold plated crown
MOVEMENT: automatic winding IWC Cal 8541B in clean and fully functional condition. The movement has been checked by the watchmaker, runs strong and keeps good time.
STRAP: black leather strap with gold plated steel buckle.
ACCESSORIES : Saffiano Leather watch roll.
WARRANTY: We guarantee the authenticity of the watch. We also provide 12 months guarantee for the correct function of this timepiece. All guarantees are subject to the General Terms and conditions. We check all watches when listing the watch for sales, and again before shipping. In rare cases, shipping can cause the movement problems. Therfore, please check all functions of the watch upon receipt. Should you find any issues, please notifiy us by email without dealy.
