MODEL / REFERENCE: Universal Genève solid gold dress watch reference 126017.1.
DIAL+HANDS: The bloodstone dial is elegantly minimal as to highlight the beauty of the hardstone. Preserved in original condition, it displays no cracks or damage along with a very sharp and complete gilt imprint. The golden dauphine hands appear to be correct and clean. They complement the case and imprint tones, all while contrasting beautifully with the green and red colors of the dial.
CRYSTAL: The mineral crystal is in overall good condition with minor scratches on the top right side.
CASE: The octagonal solid yellow gold case measures 31mm across and 32mm from lug to lug. The masterfully executed stepped bezel is a design feat in itself and gives the case a sophisticated look. The case is in very good condition, remains well defined and is likely unpolished or lightly polished. The highly reflective surface displays minor signs of wear and marks, commensurate with careful wear and age of the watch.
CASE BACK: The octagonal, single-step case back is in yellow solid gold with small lip for snap-on opening. It has been very well preserved, as the vertical brushed finish and the crisply stamped reference number appear to be unaltered. The surface however displays some minor hairline scratches and marks throughout, commensurate with minimal wear. The inner side is clean and bears all the period-correct stamps. The Poinçon de Maître displays the number 29 indicative of the case maker: Weber & Cie. SA
CROWN: The original crown bears the brand’s signature and operates properly.
MOVEMENT: The in- house caliber 1-42 is a manually-wound movement, featuring 17 jewels and an incabloc shock protection. The numbered caliber is in excellent mechanical condition, winds smoothly and keeps accurate time, despite the unknown service history.
BRACELET: The genuine, black leather strap with alligator motif is signed Universal Genève. It is lightly worn and comes with an original, golden pin-buckle.
ACCESSORIES: Saffiano Leather Watch Roll. This elegant watch with a rare Bloodstone dial and a well-crafted case, typify the excellence of the last century’s Universal Genève. This is a great, elegant collector’s item for him or her. The dial, crown, case back, movement, and buckle are signed. The watch is fully functional and ready to be worn.

Due to the nature of vintage timepieces, all watches are sold as is. We will accurately describe the current condition and working order of all watches we sell to the best of our ability. Given that vintage watches are antique collector items, we do not provide any guarantee on movement accuracy, water-proofing or any other mechanical guarantee unless it is mentioned in the product description.
We check all watches when listing the watch for sales, and again before shipping. In rare cases, shipping can cause the movement problems. Therfore, please check all functions of the watch upon receipt. Should you find any issues, please notifiy us by email without dealy.
