DIAL+HANDS: The minimalist dial layout is purely elegant. The clean, surface is complemented with a crisp and complete white text. The surface bears no obvious marks but a diagonal, hairline crack visible under magnification.
The white, pencil hands are clean and look correct. They contrast beautifully with the brownish-red color of the dial.
CRYSTAL: The flat mineral crystal is clean and in excellent condition.
CASE: The round, solid yellow gold case measures 29mm in diameter and 40 mm from lug to lug. From the fantastic stepped bezel to the slim, extended lugs reminiscent of the Cartier Vendôme, it’s hard to come across a case as attractive and elusive as this one. In overall good condition, the gold case remains faithful to its profile with well-defined lines. It is likely unpolished or lightly polished, as the reflective surface displays very minor signs of use, commensurate with age and careful wear.
CASE BACK: The single-step, 18k yellow gold case back is held in the reverse side of the case by 4 screws. The overall condition is excellent, seen by the residue of the sticker, the horizontal brushed finish and the crisply stamped reference number. The inner side is clean and bears all the period-correct stamps. The Poinçon de Maître displays the number 38 indicative of the case maker: Max Fuchs S.A.
CROWN: The original crown bears the brand’s signature and operates as intended.
MOVEMENT: The in-house caliber 1-42 is a reliable, manually-wound movement, featuring 17 jewels and an incabloc shock protection. The numbered caliber is in excellent mechanical condition, winds smoothly and keeps accurate time, despite the unknown service history.
BRACELET: The genuine, black leather strap with lizard motif is signed Universal Genève. It is barely worn and comes with an original, golden pin-buckle.
ACCESSORIES: Saffiano Leather Watch Roll. This great looking timepiece combines rarity, quirky design and a brand name with esteemed legacy. A trifecta of coolness to say the least! The dial, crown, case back, movement, and buckle are signed. The watch is fully functional and ready to be worn.

Given that vintage watches are antique collector items, we do not provide any guarantee on movement accuracy, water-proofing or any other mechanical guarantee unless it is mentioned in the product description.
We check all watches when listing the watch for sales, and again before shipping. In rare cases, shipping can cause the movement problems. Therfore, please check all functions of the watch upon receipt. Should you find any issues, please notifiy us by email without dealy.
