The 1675 GMT-Master is a cornerstone of Rolex’s professional watchmaking, born from the golden age of commercial aviation.
Introduced around 1959, this second-generation GMT brought crown guards, a more robust case, and its blue/red rotating 24-hour bezel to a design made for pilots navigating multiple time zones.
Produced for nearly two decades, the 1675 evolved through a fascinating range of dial, bezel, and case variations, making it a perennial favorite among collectors. And that is the beauty of vintage GMT-Masters: No two examples tell quite the same story. When the original details remain intact and the years have done their work on the aluminium bezel and dial, the result is pure vintage Rolex appeal.

MODEL / REFERENCE: Rolex GMT Master Reference 1675. The serial number dates it to circa 1978. Inventory code: 26-15.
DIAL+HANDS: The dial has aged superbly, presenting a clean matte black surface, contrasted by a sharp and complete imprint all the way through to the chapter ring.
The date window has a clean, white disc.
The Tritium markers are untouched and remain intact. They have acquired a warm custard hue.
The correct handset remains in original condition as well, with intact lume inlays that match the color tone than the indices.
CRYSTAL: The acrylic crystal with the cyclops at 3 o’clock is in good condition with light, scattered scratches.
CASE: The Oyster case measures 40mm in diameter and manages to maintain thick lugs, prominent bevels, displays signs of gentle wear and no major dents or scratches.
The blue portion of the bezel insert has faded while the red portion is still vibrant. It shows various noticeable scratches. Please refer to the pictures.
CASEBACK: Oyster case back that bears the period correct stamps and nomenclature on the inside. The outer side shows a brushed center and polished surrounding flank. It also displays intact knurling and various light scratches, commensurate with years of careful wear.
CROWN: The original “Twinlock” crown closes securely and operates as intended.
MOVEMENT: The self-winding Cal. 1570 is chronometer certified, features a date function and a 24H hand. It is in full working order and keeps accurate time.
BRACELET: The stainless-steel Oyster bracelet, reference 78360 comes with its 580 end-links and a signed folded clasp which is dated to 1982. It shows light scratches throughout, no noticeable stretch and can fit an 18cm wrist.
ACCESSORIES: Saffiano leather watch roll.
WARRANTY: We guarantee the authenticity of the watch. We also provide a 12-month guarantee for the correct function of this timepiece. All guarantees are subject to the General Terms and conditions.

CHRONOSCOPE is not liable for defects to the products caused by improper handling by the buyer or any third parties, as well as for general wear and tear.
The warranty for defects is null and void if the customer or a third-party attempt to repair the products themselves, unless prior specific written agreements have been made with CHRONOSCOPE
The compensation for the violation of contractual obligations by CHRONOSCOPE is limited to the amount paid by the buyer.
Due to the nature of vintage timepieces, all watches are sold as is. We will accurately describe the current condition and working order of all watches we sell to the best of our ability. Given that vintage watches are antique collector items, we do not provide any guarantee on movement accuracy, water-proofing or any other mechanical guarantee unless it is mentioned in the product description.
We check all watches when listing the watch for sales, and again before shipping. In rare cases, shipping can cause the movement problems. Therfore, please check all functions of the watch upon receipt. Should you find any issues, please notifiy us by email without dealy.
In the unlikely case you should not be satisfied with the watch you receive, contact us and we will work towards finding a solution.
