The Seamaster has been the beating heart of Omega’s collection since 1948, evolving from waterproof wristwatches inspired by those supplied to the British military during WWII into one of the most diverse and beloved families in horology.
Introduced in 1969, the present reference belongs to a particularly fascinating chapter of that story. Designed by Frédéric Robert, the same visionary behind the legendary Flightmaster, its bold tonneau-shaped case was conceived to appeal to a new generation of adventurous travelers and aviators. The resemblance is unmistakable: Broad brushed surfaces, flowing curves, and a distinctly futuristic silhouette straight out of the jet age.
Combining serious diving credentials with unmistakable 1970s design, this Seamaster 200 remains one of Omega’s most charismatic sports watches.
Please refer to the high-resolution pictures to assess the condition of the watch.
MODEL / REFERENCE: Omega Seamaster 200, reference 166.091. A 1971 production fitted with its original Omega Milanese bracelet reference 1247-237. Inventory code: WK-32-21.
DIAL + HANDS: Gently aged, yet virtually flawless matte black dial. It is preserved in outstanding condition, from its crisp white printing to the framed date window at 3 o’clock.
The painted hour markers have acquired a charming beige color tone, while the sword hands have a clear, greenish hue, suggesting service replacements.
CRYSTAL: Mineral crystal in excellent condition with no notable defects.
CASE: The “Flightmaster-like” stainless-steel case measures 41mm in diameter and 52mm from lug to lug. Its dramatic radial brushing, tonneau profile, and integrated design are quintessentially 1970s.
The surface remains exceptionally well preserved for a tool watch, showing various scratches throughout, most notably on the top portion of the “lugs” area. Case and caseback appear unpolished.
Bidirectional rotating diving bezel fitted with a black acrylic insert. It remains remarkably well preserved, with a slightly ghosted color, intact immersion scale and very light scratches.
CASEBACK: Stainless-steel screw-down case back with crisp, sand blasted medallion at the centre. The surface virtually retains its original brushed finish and displays only various scratches commensurate with age and previous opening attempts. The engraved text remains very prominent.
CROWN: Correct, Omega signed screw-down crown. It closes securely, operates properly and ensures the watch’s purposeful tool-watch character.
MOVEMENT: Omega in-house automatic cal. 1002 with date function. Signed and numbered, this reliable self-winding movement has been checked and runs properly, keeping good time.
BRACELET: Original Omega Milanese mesh bracelet reference 1247-237 with signed folding clasp. One of the highlights of the watch, it remains in beautiful condition and wears exceptionally comfortably on the wrist. It fits a wrist of approx.. 18cm.
ACCESSORIES: Omega Service pouch.
WARRANTY: We guarantee the authenticity of the watch. We also provide a 12-month warranty covering the correct function of this timepiece. All guarantees are subject to our General Terms and Conditions.
