Originally designed to attract the young audience of the 1960s, the Breitling Top Time was advertised as an ‘instrument panel’ on the wrist back then, which is more akin to a “sport chic” timepiece that can be worn every day.
As it sets itself apart from the dressy chronographs of the 1940s or the professional-oriented Navitimers, the reference 810 is the best of both worlds as it features a modernly-sized waterproof case, a well-balanced reverse panda dial, and dashing red hand that’s animated by the reliable Venus 178 movement.

MODEL / REFERENCE: Breitling Top Time “Long Playing” reference 810, with the MK II case and red seconds hand.
DIAL+HANDS: The striking, reverse panda dial retains a sharp imprint all the way to the tachymeter scale. Its whole surface has gently aged, developing a uniform spotting patina throughout.
The three sunken subdials are clean and crisp.
The Tritium coated handset is in good aesthetic condition and correct to this reference. The lume material has aged to acquire a dark tone.
CRYSTAL: Plexiglas crystal in very good condition, with no damage and some hairline scratches.
CASE: The stainless-steel case measures 38mm in diameter. It appears to be unpolished with strong profiling lines, a satin finish and even angled lugs.
Overall, this case is in wearable vintage condition as it displays signs of use, commensurate with age, that can be identified as surface scratches throughout and a small ding on the bottom left lug.
CASEBACK: The stainless steel, pressure-fit case back is in fair vintage condition, with slightly faded but legible text and surface scratches throughout, commensurate with wear and age.
CROWN+PUSHERS: The signed crown operates flawlessly, from winding to time setting.
The pump chronograph pushers appear to be correct. They operate the chronograph functions crisply.
MOVEMENT: The column wheel switched Venus 178 calibre features a two-button, three-register, chronograph display.
It is signed and has been checked. The movement keeps accurate time, and the chronograph functions work as intended.
BRACELET: 18mm black leather strap with an unsigned stainless-steel pin-buckle.
ACCESSORIES: Saffiano Leather Watch Roll.
WARRANTY: We guarantee the authenticity of the watch. We also provide 12 months guarantee for the correct function of this timepiece. All guarantees are subject to the General Terms and conditions.

Given that vintage watches are antique collector items, we do not provide any guarantee on movement accuracy, water-proofing or any other mechanical guarantee unless it is mentioned in the product description.
We check all watches when listing the watch for sales, and again before shipping. In rare cases, shipping can cause the movement problems. Therfore, please check all functions of the watch upon receipt. Should you find any issues, please notifiy us by email without dealy.
