For sale a Vintage Angelus Cal. 215 chronograph with original gilt dial and radium lume from the 1940s in good vintage condition. The hightlight of this stunning vintage chronograph is the original, glossy black gilt dial with intact radium lume.
Dial, caseback and movement signed. The watch is in very good vintage condition, fully functional and comes with a 12 months warranty.
MODEL / REFERENCE: Angelus Cal. 215 chronograph. The serial no. 188xxx dates this Angelus to the period of 1935 to 1942
SPECIFICATIONS ; CONDITION REPORT; please refer to the high resolution pictures to assess the condition of the watch.
DIAL+HANDS: Clean and original gilt dial. The dial is very good condition and shows light signs of aging when inspected upclose.
PRINT: original and crisp
LUME: the lumed numbers have turned dark and seem all original and intact. Given the watch dates to the late 30’s , early 40s, it must be radium lume. (we haven’t tested) When activated with UV light, the lume glows and the fades rapidly.
HANDS: the hands appear original and have been relumed professionally somewhere in the past. When activated with UV light, the lume on the hands glows and then fades off.
CRYSTAL: Plexy crystal in good condition with minor surface marks
CASE: 35 mm stainless steel case in with signs of use. The lugs are razor sharp and the case appears unpolished. Lug to lug, the case measures 42 mm. Fixed lugs, 17mm wide.
CASEBACK: stainless caseback in good condition with signs of use. The inner caseback is signed Angelus and carries the serial number.
CROWN+PUSHERS: the crown seems a later replacement. The pushers are original to the watch and show signs of use.
MOVEMENT: manual wind Angelus Cal. 215 in clean and full working condition, keeping good time for a vintage watch.
STRAP: New black leather strap with unsigned steel buckle.
ACCESSORIES : Saffiano Leather watch roll.

We check all watches when listing the watch for sales, and again before shipping. In rare cases, shipping can cause the movement problems. Therfore, please check all functions of the watch upon receipt. Should you find any issues, please notifiy us by email without dealy.
