The 1960s gave us The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Aston Martin DB5… and, thankfully, some rather fabulous watches! Straight out of 1962, this Omega Seamaster deserves its place among the decade’s greatest hits, especially with that gorgeous glossy black dial and gilt printing stealing the show. Throw in the crosshair layout, applied markers, and dauphine hands, and you have a dial that rewards every closer look.
Originality is the real headline here, though. From the Plexiglass crystal and signed crown to the iconic Beads of Rice bracelet, this Seamaster has all the right period ingredients. The automatic Calibre 552 takes care of business inside, while the versatile steel case makes it equally at home under a shirt cuff or paired with your favourite jeans. Sixty-four years later, this one still knows how to rock!

MODEL / REFERENCE: Omega Seamaster, reference 14779 SC-62. The serial number dates production to 1962. Inventory Code: 60825-1.
DIAL + HANDS: The matte black gilt dial features a fine crosshair, applied hour markers, and a clean outer minute track. The dial is non-luminous, as intended, and is paired with matching dauphine hands. The markers and hands display matching surface oxidation due to age.
Its clean surface and layout, along with the contrasting gilt printing, make it a particularly attractive configuration.
CRYSTAL: Signed Plexiglass crystal in very good condition with a few hairline scratches.
CASE: Stainless steel case measuring approximately 35mm in diameter, with a lug-to-lug length of around 43mm. The classic rounded profile and thick lugs remain strong and well-defined. The surface shows various wear marks commensurate with age.
CASEBACK: Stainless-steel screw-down case back that features a well-defined Seamaster hippocampus medallion, still prominent and beautifully preserved.
The surface displays visible scratches and marks consistent with normal vintage wear.
The inner side displays the correct stamps, from the reference and case numbers to the case maker’s hallmark: Louis Lang S.A.
CROWN: Signed Omega crown, likely original. It operates perfectly.
MOVEMENT: Omega Cal. 552, one of the brand’s well-regarded in-house movements. This copper-finished automatic movement features central seconds and a swan neck regulator. It is signed, numbered and has been inspected. It runs well, keeping time within expectations for a vintage timepiece.
BRACELET: Stainless steel Beads of Rice bracelet, reference 1036, fitted with 512 end links and a signed folding clasp. It is in overall aesthetic condition, with minor wear marks throughout.
ACCESSORIES: Saffiano leather watch roll.
WARRANTY: We guarantee the authenticity of the watch. We also provide a 12-month guarantee for the correct function of this timepiece. All guarantees are subject to the General Terms and Conditions.

CHRONOSCOPE is not liable for defects to the products caused by improper handling by the buyer or any third parties, as well as for general wear and tear.
The warranty for defects is null and void if the customer or a third-party attempt to repair the products themselves, unless prior specific written agreements have been made with CHRONOSCOPE
The compensation for the violation of contractual obligations by CHRONOSCOPE is limited to the amount paid by the buyer.
Due to the nature of vintage timepieces, all watches are sold as is. We will accurately describe the current condition and working order of all watches we sell to the best of our ability. Given that vintage watches are antique collector items, we do not provide any guarantee on movement accuracy, water-proofing or any other mechanical guarantee unless it is mentioned in the product description.
We check all watches when listing the watch for sales, and again before shipping. In rare cases, shipping can cause the movement problems. Therfore, please check all functions of the watch upon receipt. Should you find any issues, please notifiy us by email without dealy.
In the unlikely case you should not be satisfied with the watch you receive, contact us and we will work towards finding a solution.
