From the racetrack to the lunar surface, a handful of chronographs have earned their place in watchmaking’s Hall of Fame, quite like the Moonwatch. And while the first step on the Moon belongs to 1969, the Speedmaster’s story has been ticking along ever since.
The present reference brings a particularly appealing twist to the classic Moonwatch formula. Beneath its familiar matte black dial sits the gilded Calibre 863, visible through a sapphire display back, a handsome upgrade that lets you admire the mechanics behind the legend. Not to mention that superb Tritium patina that lends it plenty of personality of its own.
Delivered as a full set with its original 1992 warranty card, this is a Moonwatch with its history in tow.

MODEL / REFERENCE: Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, reference 3592.50, originally sold in 1992. Inventory Code: 60831-1.
DIAL + HANDS: Matte black dial with the classic three-register chronograph layout. The hour markers have developed an attractive, warm Tritium patina, matched by the ageing of the original hands. The contrast of the crisp white imprint against a clean black base provides the model’s signature high legibility.
CRYSTAL: Unsigned Plexiglas crystal in excellent condition.
CASE: The 42mm stainless steel case boasts its familiar lyre-lug construction, paired with a fixed black bezel carrying a perfectly preserved tachymeter scale.
The case remains well-defined and displays various light scratches throughout, indicating an eventful life.
CASEBACK: Screw-down case back in stainless steel, fitted with a sapphire display window. The steel rim shows various wear marks along with deep and legible engravings.
CROWN + PUSHERS: Original signed crown and pump pushers. They are original and operate as intended perfectly.
MOVEMENT: Manually wound Omega Cal. 863, a gilded chronograph movement, featuring a cam and lateral clutch system, as well as a 12-hour recorder. It is signed and numbered
The movement is clean and has been checked for accuracy. All functions operate as intended.
BRACELET: Stainless steel Omega bracelet, reference 1479/32, fitted with 812 end-links and a signed folding clasp.
ACCESSORIES: Original boxes, booklet, card holder, and a dated Omega warranty card.
WARRANTY: We guarantee the authenticity of the watch and provide a 12-month warranty for its correct functioning. All warranties are subject to our General Terms and Conditions.

Excluded from the warranty for defects are the accuracy, waterproof / water resistance, wear of the wristband and general wear and tear, scratches on the wristband or case, and damage to the glass / crystal.
CHRONOSCOPE is not liable for defects to the products caused by improper handling by the buyer or any third parties, as well as for general wear and tear.
The warranty for defects is null and void if the customer or a third-party attempt to repair the products themselves, unless prior specific written agreements have been made with CHRONOSCOPE
The compensation for the violation of contractual obligations by CHRONOSCOPE is limited to the amount paid by the buyer.
Due to the nature of vintage timepieces, all watches are sold as is. We will accurately describe the current condition and working order of all watches we sell to the best of our ability. Given that vintage watches are antique collector items, we do not provide any guarantee on movement accuracy, water-proofing or any other mechanical guarantee unless it is mentioned in the product description.
We check all watches when listing the watch for sales, and again before shipping. In rare cases, shipping can cause the movement problems. Therfore, please check all functions of the watch upon receipt. Should you find any issues, please notifiy us by email without dealy.
In the unlikely case you should not be satisfied with the watch you receive, contact us and we will work towards finding a solution.
